June 2016 - Moat Boat Paddle Battle
The first Collaborative Enquiry cycle for 2016 was the Moat Boat Paddle Battle. This activity was a part of the Year 8 Materials and Force class and aimed to create a practical application for students to show their understanding of different forces while at the same time developing their skills in 3D printing and design processes. We were fortunate to be invited to the Melbourne Mini Makerfaire at Swinburn University where we showcased our activity to a wider audience. due to the size of the file, I am unable to provide it here but you can go to the Department Fuse link below and download from there.
September 2016 - Minecraftedu
The goal of the project was to examine whether a digital gaming platform like Minecraftedu could help students to examine the concepts of Place and Liveability by providing a deep experiential learning opportunity that also encouraged enquiry based learning and collaborative learning to occur.
